'Air Sampai' - Virtual Worship at Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto
Saw this on Japanese TV this morning.
It is now possible to pay a visit to Kyoto's famous Kiyomizu Temple without budging from in front of your computer.
English subtitles are included.
Don't forget to do your squats for the full experience :)

Gasshō - Free Buddhist Wallpaper for PCs and Mobile Devices
My first upload is a Zen-themed wallpaper. The Kanji read 'Gassho'.
For further reading on the symbolism of this gesture see Notes on Gassho & Bowing, by Maezumi Roshi .

Hello All
A first post to get the ball rolling.
This blog is a space where I will upload Buddhist themed wallpapers designed by myself at irregular intervals.
Please feel free to use them as you will. May their presence on your desktop act as a kind of mindfulness practice every time you start up/shutdown, get caught up in the happenings of a busy day or find yourself spending way too much time browsing the Web :)
Apologies if the designs have a Japanese bias - I have been resident in Tokyo for over eight years and therefore most of my experience of living Buddhism has been in Japan.
Also please comment with any feedback or requests such as colour variations etc. and I will try my best to be of service.
